Pet Peeves
★ Phrase "I'm bored"
★Group Projects {no explanation needed}
★When you slurp your drink and you're over the age of 7
★People who complain all the time about everything and anyone.
★When people unnecessarily touch my hands when handing me back money.
★When I'm returning something and the sales assistant keeps saying 'This is SO cute! What a great deal!" {you saying that will not make me change my mind on the item}
★Hearing 'You look tired' {Unless you have a cup of delicious coffee in your hand, I take it as 'Go home-You look awful. Go pile some makeup on- Actually don't come back. No one wants to see you looking like this.}
What are some of your pet peeves?

What is Style?
It's hard to describe style in my opinion. I don't like confining myself to 2 or 3 adjectives in order to describe what I like. I think style is not only a description of fashion choices, but also personality. Seeing how a person acts is also a representation of their style in a way.
Have you ever been enchanted by a stranger?
Sometimes I see a random person amongst rush hour in Portland, who without speaking conveys so much. Their confidence (or lack thereof) shining through. The way they react to tripping over a pothole or a homeless person asking for money. The way they carry their bags. Or the way they just stand there motionlessly or maybe twitching their leg nervously.
I feel like all those little things make up a person's style.
What does style mean to you?

The Ultimate Christmas Movie
Every Christmas season my family watches this movie. It's almost a tradition.Somehow whenever we turn on the TV this movie is playing and we end up watching it.
Does your family have a tradition to watch a certain movie?

Perfume Dilemma
I'm trying to decide between these three scents.
What are your opinions on these? Do you own any of these? Does the scent last? Would you re-purchase?

Affordable Gifts for Women
Let's all stop pretending we have all the money in the world to spend on our loved ones this season. I know I can not spend 75$ on each one of my friends unless I want to eat Ramen for the next 5 years.
All the gift guides that we have seen so far have been way out of my budget, thus we have decided to come up with a realistic gift guide for people that do not have an extreme amount of money to spend on all my friends and family.
Candles are a perfect gift in my opinion. They smell nice and remind you of the person who gave you the candle every time you burn it. Personally I buy nice candles as a treat, because I can't justify spending 10$ on a candle on a regular basis, which makes receiving a candle special.
Movies or Music. If you know the person well enough, you can give them a DVD or a CD of a movie or a band they have been loving recently, or one they want to see. I love getting movies as gifts, because I usually get super excited about a movie and then forget to see it in theaters ( but then again movie tickets are almost as expensive as getting a DVD soooo why not just get the DVD), so getting a present like this makes me very happy.
Nail Polish. A fancy bottle of nail polish is a great gift if you know that the person you're gifting doesn't usually buy such things. I personally don't spend money on nail polish, because I change it so much, so I stick to the less expensive options like Revlon or Sally Hansen. I would love to receive a bottle of OPI or Essie or Butter London for Christmas in a beautiful color. I know that I personally would never send that much money on a nail polish, but I would love to receive it as a gift.
This also applies for other items [lipstick, blush, shoes, etc]. Getting a slightly higher/ fancier option for any beauty item is a good idea, if you know that the recipient would most likely not purchase the item for themselves.
Tea or Coffee Items. If the recipient likes coffee or tea, getting them a new tea flavor or one of their favorites is a good idea, because you know that they will use it and appreciate it. If you don't know what kinds/flavors they like, get them a tumbler or a reusable coffee/tea cup. There are lots of pretty options in the stores for not a lot of money.
Printed Tees. If you know the person's style and you think they would like it then go for it! You could also get a tee with a funny saying.
If you have siblings or a few of your friends are pitching in for a bigger gift, I have a few relatively inexpensive options:
Perfume. If you know the person's taste this is a good idea. If you don't you probably shouldn't guess, because you'll just waste your money. I think Daisy is a good perfume for anyone, its light and fresh and so far I haven't heard of anyone not liking it. Lovestruck is my current favorite, so I just wanted to include that in case you were looking for a fresh floral fruity scent that is not overpowering.
SPA certificate. Who doesn't like to get pampered? Beauty schools have some less expensive options as well as new SPA centers. Groupon is also a good place to find SPA certificates for at least half the price.
What are some of your ideas for gifts?

The #1 Travel Item You Need in Your Suitcase
With the holiday season literally right around the corner lots of you will traveling to see family and friends that do not live close to you. Which means that you might have to stay the night or for a few days.
Recently I went on a trip to visit some family on the East Coast and have discovered the one crucial item that is absolutely essential for having a great time and feeling comfortable anywhere.
MAKE UP REMOVAL CLOTHS!!
This might a no brainer for most of you, but I was sincerely surprised how handy these little towelettes are.During the trip I used these daily. Sometimes even when you scrub your face really well there's still some makeup residue left, which clogs up your pores. That is the last thing you want on a vacation. These little towelettes take off all the spots you missed by just using your cleanser. [Plus if you are in a sketchy area you can use these as a sanitizer for your hands.]

Favorite Printed Tees
Lately, I've been really into wearing tees with a cute picture or some beautiful positive words. Currently, we are experiencing some major cold weather here in Portland(possible snow in the next few days- yay!!) thus layering is a must.
Here are some of my favorites tees that go under my cardigans. All of these are from Old Navy and are about 10$ a piece. They are super soft and look great with my staple winter outfit which is a combo of jeans, boots, sweater and scarf.
What are some of your winter staples?

We're both quite excited -so be on a lookout for all different types of posts!
To kick off Blogmas we are starting with answering questions to an award we received a while back from our lovely blog BFF, Belle!
1 What/ who encouraged you to start blogging?
How we started this blog is quite spontaneous. We were enjoying some drinks after a shopping trip. Next thing you hear is us discussing blog names. And here we are today.
2 How did you choose what topic(s) to blog about?
We both love fashion and have always enjoyed talking about clothes and going shopping. Once we started blogging we discovered other topics we like to write about such as books and beauty products.
3 What is something most people don't know about you?
4 What 3 words describe your style?
We like to hike, read, drink tea and wine, explore Portland and of course shop!
Are you doing Blogmas? Leave us your links- we'd love to follow some new friends!
